What is no contract broadband?
No contract broadband is more or less like the usual broadband package but excludes the part whereby you are binned to a provider or binned by a contract for a year or more than a year. In other words, a no-contract broadband can be a 30-day rolling or mobile broadband contract that allows you to connect to the internet within a period or a temporary internet that offers its customers flexibility.
How does no-contract broadband work? When you sign up for no-contract broadband, you enter a rolling contract with your provider, which continues month by month unless you decide to end it. But remember, with no-contract broadband, you are not forced to continue the contract after the first month, as you can cancel the contract anytime without termination fees or extra charges. But be sure to give your provider a month’s notice.
A no-contract broadband gives you more freedom than typical 12, 18, or 24-month contracts.

Hyperoptic no contract broadband
Hyoptic offers no contract broadband on its full-fibre and part-fibre broadband. Hyperoptic offers the package at £25 per month with an average speed of 57Mbps, while its hyperfast offers an average speed of 900Mbps. The activation fees for hyperoptic vary depending on the package or speed you are signing up for but range from £29-£39.
G.Network
G.Network also offers no-contract broadband packages with an average speed from 150Mbps to 900Mbps with prices from £31 to £57 per month.

- Portable WiFi hotspot: Consider using a portable WiFi hotspot from mobile providers via mobile dongles to connect your phone to the internet connection wirelessly. Dongles come with their data allowance, making it impossible to exhaust your data. However, remember to check your broadband coverage in your area to be sure it’s available and offers a good reception. Also, the data allowance and speed are more suitable for web browsing than streaming or downloading.

Can I get No contract without Landline?
Yes. Virgin Media offers no contract deals with or without a landline and calls, which are cheaper than choosing a broadband and phone package. The other option is to choose a 4G/5G mobile broadband deal, but ensure you check the quality of the mobile signal in your location before committing.
How fast is No Contract Broadband?
Your broadband speed will depend on the type of connection you have:
- Fibre broadband: This is also called superfast broadband. It uses fibre-optic cables that run from your home to the street cabinet. This is known as fibre-to-the-cabinet (FTTC) and gives you speeds of around 70 Mbps. It is available to 90% of UK households, as most use superfast broadband.

Getting a no-contract broadband deal should be fine if you’re moving home, as most broadband providers will let you move the service with you. But if you’re about to sign up for a long contract, it’s worth ensuring it’s portable.
